Project and Submission Requirements

All projects must be created, completed, or meaningfully improved during HackSPU 2025. Teams may bring an existing or open-source project as long as major updates or refinements are made during the event.

Each team must submit:

  • A final project file (PDF, ZIP, or Word) that includes source code, documentation, or presentation slides.

  • A demo video link (1–3 minutes) showing your project in action and explaining its purpose and functionality.

  • A short project description summarizing your idea, innovation track, and team members.

Incomplete submissions or those without a demo video will not qualify for judging or appear in the HackSPU 2025 project gallery.

Prizes

Compete to win amazing prizes in each innovation track:

  • 🥇 Pioneer Track: PlayStation 5

  • 🥈 Sustainability Track: Nintendo Switch

  • 🥉 Educational Track: AirPods Pro 3

Each track will have one winning team based on innovation, creativity, impact, and overall execution.

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

Projects will be evaluated by a panel of judges based on the following categories:

  • Functionality: How well the project works and whether all core features are complete and functional.

  • Creativity: Originality, innovation, and uniqueness of the idea or design approach.

  • Presentation & Clarity: Quality of communication, structure, and visuals used to explain the project.

  • Track Alignment: How closely the project supports the goals or theme of its chosen track.

  • Impact & Usefulness: The project’s practical value, real-world impact, or community relevance.

In case of a tie, the combined Functionality and Track Alignment scores will determine the winner.
